Prof. emer. Jose Teixeira (CNRS, LLB Saclay), on his visit to Wigner RCP (host: prof. L. Pusztai), gave a 2-hour hybrid mode tutorial entitled: “Introduction to neutron scattering by disordered matter”. Fundamental concepts of neutron scattering, as applied for studying disordered materials, were introduced. Although the focus of the tutorial was placed on investigating nanoscale structure by SANS, time was devoted to related topics, such as revealing atomic/molecular level structure and dynamics. Instrumentational aspects were also covered.
