The annual meeting of the BNC International Science Advisory Council (ISAC) will take place on April 23-24, 2024, in Budapest. The aim of the meeting is to review the current status of the BNC and the research reactor, as well as the conditions necessary for the installation of a new facility, NEAT, and the possible realization of these conditions. Preliminary materials outlining our scientific vision for the next 5-10 years will be presented.  We will expect the advice, and suggestions of the ISAC members in these topics.

ISAC advises the BNC Executive Board and the Director-general in strategic matters related to emerging fields of science, instrumentation developments and international collaborations. The members of the council are neutron scientists of international reputation.

The Budapest Neutron Centre stands as one of Hungary’s and Central Europe’s largest infrastructures and coordinates the utilization of the Budapest Research Reactor in the field of basic and applied science. Within an open access user program, BNC offers its facilities to both local and international neutron researchers.
