After the successful first call, the BNC offers even more beamtime for the international and domestic neutron community!

The second call for submitting science proposals is open until 22nd May, 2026.

12 neutron instruments are offered to carry out research in all domains, including physics, chemistry, biology, materials, medical and cultural heritage sciences.

We would like to bring to your attention the NEPHEWS project, which supports users with free access to the BNC facilities, reimbursing the travel and accommodation costs for two scientists from the user-research group.

Check details on our webpage!

Do not hesitate to participate in NEPHEWS – Twinning Program.

For those who have never used any of our facilities, it is also possible to experience how it works to use a neutron instrument in a large-scale research infrastructure! The NEPHEWS Twinning programme offers a unique opportunity for young and inexperienced researchers to gain hands-on experience with neutron instruments in large-scale research infrastructures, by matching them with expert groups and supporting their travel and accommodation needs.

The BNC offers a wide range of techniques for basic and applied research, development, and even industrial measurement applications.
