The 10th anniversary of CERIC-ERIC was successfully celebrated with a series of lectures on Monday, 25 November 2024, from 09:00 to 13:00 CET in Budapest at BNC.
After the official celebration of the 10th anniversary of CERIC in Brussels on 21 November 2024, each of the member countries has organised a local event to recall the steps that led to the creation of CERIC.
In Hungary, the HUN-REN Centre for Energy Research (HUN-REN EK) is the “Representing Entity” that supports the scientific/technical operation of CERIC-ERIC, including the provision of access to its “Partner Facility”, which provides more than ten instruments from the Budapest Neutron Centre (BNC).
Carlo Rizzuto, President of the General Assembly of CERIC-ERIC, attended the event and commented on the presentations, emphasizing that:
“The BNC is not part of the CERIC-ERIC, but the BNC itself is CERIC-ERIC.”
